Ph.D. Student Position (75%)

Topic: Passively mode-locked solid-state lasers with high repetition rates and their applications in nonlinear optics, telecommunications, and metrology
 

During the last years, our research group developed passively mode-locked solid-stated lasers with record-high repetition rates in the multi-GHz regime. In this project, we will further extend the performance and explore new applications in areas such as nonlinear optics, telecommunications, and metrology. We are seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. student, who would like to work on these topics in an international research group with top recognition.

Candidates should hold a diploma or masters degree in Physics with outstanding grades and ideally already have some experience in experimental laser physics or nonlinear optics. German language skills are advantageous, but not necessarily required.
